AQ: How were you discovered? What was your first photo-shoot like? Scarlett Rose: To be honest, I'm not entirely sure how I was "discovered". I have been modeling since I was five years old so it's been a while. I do remember my first shoot very well though. I absolutely loved it. AQ: Who is or was your idol in modeling? Scarlett Rose: I don't know that I have any one particular idol in modeling. There are a lot of women that inspire me though, ranging from Lucille Ball to Bettie Page to Cherry Dollface to The Vintage Doll to Pin-up Memphis Monroe, women that don't fit into any certain mold. They are authentic and beautiful and they empower other women by letting them know that it is a beautiful thing to break the mold and be your own person, instead of trying to be something you're not. AQ: What do you think your best feature is currently? Scarlett Rose: I've always loved being a redhead, although over the years it is becoming more and more blonde. Really it's more of a strawberry blonde now. I just love that it's unique. AQ: Is there something you aspire to do professionally that you have not done yet? Scarlett Rose: I just want to continue to support great causes. AQ: What is your pet peeve regarding a photo-shoot? Scarlett Rose: My pet peeve for photo shoots is "we can fix that in Photoshop." If it is something that can be fixed on the spot, fix it and save that time and effort. Sometimes over retouching can ruin a beautiful image. I love when a photographer can say, "I barely even needed Photoshop." AQ: Have you ever been bullied as a model? Scarlett Rose: Yes, someone once posted one of my pictures on a blog saying that I should "Give up already." Clearly, I didn't listen. I don't do what I do for anyone else's approval. I do it because I love it. AQ: What is the best and worst experience you have had modeling? Scarlett Rose: The best experience I have had in modeling is working with the Georgia Pinup Posse. I have met some amazing people working with them, we always work towards some great causes and I always have a blast with them. The worst experience was when a photographer contacted me once for a shoot. He said they had a really nice car to shoot with and there would be several models there and made it sound really awesome. I got there and everyone else was late first of all, another pet peeve of mine, and when he finally showed up, there was no car and only one other model. She seemed very disappointed as well. We still took some shots but nothing really good came of it. :-/ AQ: Is there anything you would change about modeling at your level? Scarlett Rose: I just wish people would stop the cyberbullying. If you don't like an image, don't look at it, move on. If you don't like the way a person looks or behaves, move on. There is no need to tear someone down just to make yourself feel better. AQ: Please share something people don't know about you. Scarlett Rose: I have a bearded dragon named Lucy (And yes you guessed it, she's named after Lucille Ball. She has red on her head and down her sides so it just seemed to fit). AQ: What would you change about yourself if you could? Scarlett Rose: I've been through a lot but I wouldn't change any of it because without the hard things, I wouldn't know how to appreciate the good things in life. AQ: It's been a pleasure and we look forward to more super sexy pinup work from you!
