I am a landscape, portrait, event, and glamour photographer that enjoys doing images that look larger-than-life much like the posters you see in the movie theaters or a teenager's room. An acquaintance once asked me, "Why does everything you create have to be so damn sexy?". It wasn't a compliment at the time. But thinking about it, I love colors, allure, and to be seduced by the imagery. I've done much work in the halls of government buildings. The walls were plain and the environment was colorless, odorless, and free of inspiration. It dulls your senses.
Admittedly I've stuck some items in the nude gallery intentionally to offend some people. Why? Long ago when my work was rated PG and quite boring there was always slimy church people trying to control and insult me. At one point I had a picture of a lovely girl in a dress. The manipulative religious freak said, "That looks like porn". This is how they control you with divisive words and games. Since then, I have gone out of my way to offend. Sure, I never did porn in my work (not the act of sex or penetration of any sorts). Still, I'm hoping something offends you *grin* to remind you that I'm a free soul and do as I please.
Offending people as it turns out is golden-valuable. How so? If you offend manipulators as they approach you, so much time is saved when they know you could care less about their opinions and alliances. At that point some other people walk right toward you, as if they see the real YOU. Well then, you begin living an even better life and those people become value added friends for much longer. *wink*
I am greatly defined by...
My personality type is labeled "The architect". We love the hard-work and enjoy the challenge of building and developing highly refined and functional things. We like the process almost more than the use of the final product itself. I enjoy art, science, bass heavy music, bright colors, and elegant shapes. I also like technical projects, sci-fi stories, and the great outdoors.
Sure, like all Roses the thorns are there if you like pushing buttons. I am a mirror of how you treat me. I am both a paint brush of creativity and a judgmental analytical calculator at heart fairly often. To be blunt, manipulations and head-games turn me away. I like transparency and as much honesty as you can bring forth. That, my friend, will win me over. You like to play hard to get? Then you're probably not compatible with my personality. As an INTJ personality the key phrase is always, "Does it work?".
I am obsessed with photography...
I did glamour model photography for more than thirteen years and shot more than 450 people in the most vulnerable and amazing times of their life.
It's an incredible thing to be a part of people's lives by way of photos. It wasn't until I worked with a great many other photographers that I realized how deep and over-the-top my passion for imagery and yes photography really was.
Even when I was nine years old, I drew pictures endlessly as my outlet. The great part of this? No one can take away the visuals in your head. *smile* I sometimes think that "realists" like myself who are also visual, we try and flood our minds with two amazing images for each horrifying image we remember from our past. I've been involved with wars and other bad scenarios when I was in the military (obviously not as bad as some). In that way photography, pictures, and art are a bit of therapy that keeps me balanced.
My photography is...
An extension of my art in drawing, painting, and artistic visualization. Likewise, it's fair to say that my photography is also an extended embrace of my life-long love of exploration and hiking in the outdoors through forests, rivers, and deserts.
I also like to be challenged by people who are restlessly creative, enthusiastic and have concepts of their own. It's exciting to breathe life into the concepts of others. I'm a male photographer who is okay with feminine themes and appearances (like themes the girls might like but seldom the guys) as well as very sexy imagery like every other straight male. My fascination with how much work a gorgeous woman puts into a timeless photograph before the shutter is triggered, remains a never-ending piece of admiration. I'm humbled by the female gender and try to learn as much as possible.
My photography style is generally...
Usually brighter, more colorful, and as humanistic as possible. I mean as a fellow photo wIzArD, I see these magazine photographers and their images are quite perfect yet bring about no emotions from me at all. They take so much reality out of their shots I tend to drift off from the scripted stuff they produce. Now, add gorgeous people with some minor flaws that don't totally distract you and add no-kidding genuine facial expressions. Then, I'm hooked and the moment will be captured forever. Many of the models I shot some ten years ago are seeing this now. It's so intense to see the past in stunning images. It honestly feels like you have stopped time and they will never grow old.
